Are you having trouble downloading or viewing our files? Please read through
these steps to make sure everything is set up correctly. Thank you!
- Please make sure you have your browser configured to read
Word Files or PDF Files.
We offer two versions of each file: *.DOC and *.PDF.
In order to download these from our site, your browser needs to "recognize" these file extensions
and know what to do with them.
For instructions on the Powerpoint Presentation (.PPT) please read further below.
Netscape Instructions
- Click on "Edit" from the top menu
- Click "Preferences", at the bottom of the Edit list
- A window opens, with a Section Outline on the left
- Click on the "+" sign next to "Navigator", until you see a Section called "Applications"
- Click "Applications", and a list comes up on the right.
- Verify that within this list there is at least one of the following:
- Acrobat (with extension .PDF)
- Microsoft Word Document (with extension .DOC)
- If one of those was not there, then the browser won't know what to do with these files!
- For instructions on adding .DOC applications, click HERE
- The ACROBAT extension will be added automatically when you install Adobe ACROBAT Reader
To install Acrobat Reader, go to the Acrobat Download web page below.
Internet Explorer Instructions
- Microsoft Internet Explorer is already configured to read Microsoft PowerPoint and
Word files. To save these files rather than viewing them in the Internet window, follow these steps:
- Place the mouse on the filename and click the RIGHT mouse button
- select "Save Target As" and release the mouse button.
- Choose the folder you want to save the file into; Click "SAVE"
- You can now view the files in Word or PowerPoint using "Open" in those programs.
- When you install Adobe Acrobat, Explorer will automatically configure itself to view
.PDF files. To install Acrobat, go to the DOWNLOADS Section below.
- You will need Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or later to be able to view the PDF files.
When you go to the Acrobat Download page, be sure to select the newest version of Acrobat.
- Note that this page is best viewed using Netscape 4.7 or Internet Explorer 5.0
If you are using an earlier version of these programs, you may have problems.
Go to the "DOWNLOAD" section below and click "Netscape" or "Explorer", and you will be able to
get the newest versions, free!
Follow the instructions from Netscape or Microsoft once their page opens. Remember that this
download may take some time!
- If you Do NOT Have Microsoft PowerPoint
You can still view the Presentation!
Go to the Explorer Download site below, and select the "PowerPoint Viewer". This will allow you to view our
presentation without having the full version of PowerPoint.
* Note that Internet Explorer comes with this viewer already installed.
